How the account works
With thinkmoney, you get a lot more than just an account. You get a professional, personalised service, specially designed to help you make the most of your money and stay out of financial 'hot water'.
You actually get two accounts, a Salaries Account and a Card Account, which means you always know exactly where you stand: not just how much money you have, but how much of it you need to meet your financial commitments.
You also have access to thinkmoney's Money Managers - our very own friendly financial experts, there to manage your accounts, answer your questions and help you make sure your money goes where you need it most.
How does it work?
- Your income is paid into your Salaries Account
- A Money Manager sets aside the money you need to pay the regular commitments you've told us about
- We transfer the remaining funds into your Card Account, which you access when you use your thinkmoney Prepaid Debit MasterCard® in shops, in restaurants, online, or at most cash machines worldwide - where you see the MasterCard Acceptance Mark
Why do I need two accounts?
What our two-account system delivers is peace of mind: if it's in your Card Account, you know it's safe to spend.
No matter what you spend, you'll be able to do so without worrying about using the money you need for rent/mortgage payments, utility bills, debt repayments, etc. That's because our Money Managers take care of all the essential costs you've told us about once your income has reached your Salaries Account.
How do I access my cash?
Your thinkmoney Prepaid Debit MasterCard brings you all the convenience of a debit card and the peace of mind of knowing you won't incur any default charges from us.
You can use it to get cashback, to pay in stores and restaurants, and to withdraw cash from most cash machines all over the world, where you see the MasterCard Acceptance Mark.
And there's no need to share it with your partner. Joint Personal Account holders get a second thinkmoney Prepaid Debit MasterCard.
How do I manage my money?
Managing your money with thinkmoney is simple - just give us a call and talk to one of our Money Managers. They're there to manage your finances for you, taking the stress out of making payments, making it all as hassle-free as possible.
If you prefer, you can use our online account management service. It's safe, it's secure and there's no additional fee for activating or using it (although your standard internet charges will apply).
If you're looking for information, you can text us anytime - day or night, 365 days a year - and we'll send you an up-to-the-minute update of what's in your account right now.
